PT3 hangs on startup half the time

It hangs half the time I start it up, with the splash screen just sitting there. I have to ctrl-alt-delete to kill the PokerTracker processes. Everything looks OK in the log file until this:

I'm running the 3.0 beta 14 version.

If you didn't already, please create a ticket about this on our Support system , and link to this thread, so that it will be investigated.

is this a local database or network?

if the database is on a windows machine; try running chkdsk - also look in the windows event logs for any other errors round about the time of the lost connection...
