As you can see, this release is primarily a bug fix release. Our developers are working very hard to eliminate all the bugs we get reported to us. We will continue to do so and we appreciate the patience and the help that you have all given us. Without your cooperation, bug fixing wouldn't be possible.

One thing we have changed with this release is our piracy prevention software. This new software should be more friendly on your CPU and shouldn't cause some of the compatibility problems we were having with the old software. Those of you using Avira AntiVir may get a virus notification. This is a false positive. The beta exe has been submitted to Avira in order for them to update their virus databases. Hopefully their next update will eliminate the false positive.

We are preparing for a new stable release, which is why new features are lacking in this one. Don't worry though, we have a lot of new features just over the horizon. This summer and fall should be very exciting for PT3 users. :)

Thanks to those of you who have submitted hands to us, but we still need more. We need hands from the following sites:

  • Cake
  • Merge
  • Betfair
  • Bodog
  • Cryptologic
  • Tain Network
  • Tribeca
  • *Old* Ultimate Bet
  • World Poker Exchange

We need hand histories in all formats and both cash and tournament hands. For sites that use database files or single xml files or whatever, we need those as well as any datamining formats and PT2 exported formats. The more hand histories we get, the easier and faster it will be for us to get support added for the site. The sites above are not listed in the order we will be adding them. We have been going by http://pokerscout.com and adding the sites by size. We may continue to do this or we may skip around now that the unsupported sites are pretty similar in size. To submit your hand histories, please follow this link.

Please note that this thread is locked. The release threads tend to become a jumble of various problems and questions that are very difficult for our support technicians to keep track of. If you have questions or problems, please create new threads for each individual issue.

Beta 28.1 Released

Fixed:
  • Import: OnGame P5 fixes
  • Import: PokerStars euro tournaments being seen as play money
  • Report: Final Hands report
  • Stats: Removed color condition from "Hands" stat
  • Hud: OnGame P5 5-max tables not be recognized as such
  • Hud: More problem diagnosing tools
  • Hud: Color conditions on stats that have non-numerical formatting
  • Cache: Issue with positions causing incorrect values to be stored in the cache
  • Equity: Problem with ties causing inflated percentages in certain circumstances

Once again, those of you using Avira AntiVir will experience false positives. The files have been submitted to Avira for testing and we hope this time the update will come faster. We are working to eliminate the false positives altogether, so hopefully in the future it won't occur at all.

If you are having performance problems with beta 28.2, please try downloading it again. We had to put out a new copy that removed some logging that was accidentally left in the Hud.
