PT3 Omaha and Stud

Postby TomBrooklyn » Thu Dec 17, 2009 10:44 pm

Is PT3 going to have capability to handle Omaha and Stud?

I see PT2HE support ends in early 2010. Does support for PT2 Omaha and Stud end then also?

PT3's Omaha module will be in the next version, which we're hoping to be able to release within the next week or so (subject to no major new issues arising in alpha testing).
Stud support is also planned, but this won't happen for a while yet.

PT2:O and PT2:S support won't be stopped until the equivalent PT3 modules are well established.

It would be so great to get stud in there in a timely manner. As well as any other modules. I'd like to see draw but personally I think getting all the H.O.R.S.E games into a single PT would do a lot for online poker. You guys could single handedly make Limit Stud Eight or Better (Hi/Lo) as popular a game as any other. :o

The last I heard Stud was planned for mid to late 2010, but that was highly tentative and subject to change.

I think a surprising number of Stud/-RSE keys would be purchased in comparison to the original PTS because of the ability to fully support HORSE in a single program with HUD support. Ditto for draw games.

is Omaha going to remain part of PT3, or will it cost additional once it comes out of beta?

It will be an additional cost. The pricing has not yet been announced.

PT3 and Omaha are already integrated; however, Omaha is not commercially released yet. There will be no savings whether if you purchased PT3 Holdem now and then purchase Omaha once released or if you waited to purchase them together.
