Beta 14 Released

Postby Josh » Tue Jul 01, 2008 7:36 pm

Added:
    TableTracker: Support for PokerStars
Changed:
Adjust Qualifying Tables Limits won't change the limit if the seat count doesn't work
Automatically starts PostgreSQL services if they aren't running
Fixed:
    More import problems
Hud: Filter by Current Blind Level (Tournaments)
Hud: PT icon location now saves again
    Hud: Crashing issues
Party: Auto-Import will now recognize new tables
Import: Everest invalid pot size errors
    Import: OnGame issues
Filters: Certain filters causing SQL errors in reports

Unfortunately I did not have enough time to get as many bug fixes in this release as I would've liked. There are a few big ones though, such as the Party import problem and some more Hud stability and lag issues. If you still have Hud issues, please open a new support ticket (or respond to your existing ticket) and provide the following information:

1. What site you are playing on
2. What kind of table you are playing on (cash or tournament, 6 max or full ring)
3. How many tables you are playing on
4. Whether renaming your Layouts.pt3 file to Layouts.backup and restarting PT3 helps the problem any
5. How many databases you are using and how many hands are in each database
6. If you play multiple sites, is the problem isolated to one of them, or does it occur on all
7. Reproduce the problem, then attach the PokerTracker.log, PokerTrackerHud.log and the Layouts.pt3 file to the ticket

Doing all of that will be a tremendous help in assisting us to figure out your problem.

In addition to the bug fixes, we were able to add PokerStars support to TableTracker. Let us know how it works.

We realize that not much other than bug fixes have gotten accomplished the past month and a half. We really had no idea how elusive these Hud issues would remain. That's why we've decided that once we're confident the bugs have been fixed, we will be extending the trial again for everyone who hasn't yet purchased and has been waiting for the bugs to be fixed and/or features to be added. We truly appreciate your patience and want you to be able to test PT3 to its fullest.

PLEASE NOTE: This version does not fix (or attempt to fix) all of the known bugs. If you submitted a support ticket and have not received a message saying your issue should be resolved in the next release, then your bug probably hasn't been fixed yet. If you want, please try this version and if it doesn't fix your problem, just add another message to your ticket saying Beta 14 doesn't fix your problem. That will save some time in instances where I would ask you to try.

I guess I'll be the first to say I'm surprised by what is included in this build and even more surprised by what is not included. At this rate it would seem its going to take a long long time to cover the features of Poker Tracker 2? I'm not trying to be unfair, but it has been a long time.

What you aren't seeing are all the hours that are being spent investigating bugs. The problems with the Hud are extremely difficult to debug, mainly because I can't reproduce them on my computer, so it takes a lot of trial and error. Once the bugs are sorted out though, new features can be added rapidly.

So when I download 3.00 14 , I don't have to then transfer my database etc. from 3.00 13 will I ? I guess what I am asking is , will it just update the version I already have ? I am a registered user of PT3.

the accepted wisdom is to download the beta 14 standalone installer without postgres; then install over the top of your existing installation - making sure pt is not running and there are no orphaned pt processes running - this procedure will preserve your database content.

No you don't have to reimport or do anything other then install the beta 14 on top of beta 13.

Problems with the HUD at Full Tilt.

Postby IAlwaysCallU » Thu Jul 03, 2008 3:58 am

I only play 9 people sit and go at Full Tilt.
Under "Configure HUD" and "HUD options" I have always had display mucked cards for 3 seconds.
However after the upgrade - They do not disappear after the 3 seconds and the cards are shown for the rest of the tournament even for elimanated players.
The 5 comminity cards on the board are also shown for the last hand even if the new hand is playing.
All these cards makes it almost impossible to get an overview of what is going on at the table.
Can you please advice ?

I have a screenshot which illustrates these problems - but to whom can I send it ?

if you rename your layouts.pt3 to get you back to a basic hud for now; does the problem persist?
