small bug with weekly report

Postby stevi3p » Mon May 25, 2009 7:00 am

There's a small bug in the weekly report I downloaded from the repository.

It shows stats for every, week and then randomly some extra dates appear, usually at the end of the month.

e.g., the series will go May 4, May 11, May 18, May 25, May 27. This seems to happen roughly once a month at the end of the month.

Grateful if this could be fixed.

Thanks

Steve

Is that Kraada's report?
He's off today, but I'm sure he'll take a look at it tomorrow.

If it's not that, please tell me the exact name of the report and who posted it and I'll have a look at it myself.

I know that he groups by dates, so I guess it will be a fifth week starting within a month that causes problems.
I'm sure he'll get back to you tomorrow, though.

I've figured out the problem; a new version of the report is pending an upload.

If you've already imported the report previously, please click Configure --> Configure Stats, click Holdem Cash Sessions, go to the stats tab and remove WeekDayMonthYear.

Then unzip and import the attached stat, and the report will work correctly for you.

What went wrong? Well, what I was doing was truncating the date the session started to the beginning of the week. Some hands start in weeks that occur in different months and years than the sessions. For example, a session starting 1/1/09 is in the week that started 12/29/08. Using the same month and year as the session itself we were getting 1/29/09 for that session. To fix this we created new columns for the month and year of the week which the hand starts in (so for a session on 1/1/09 it'd pull out 12 for month and 08 for year). Once the fixed version of the stat is imported, the report will function properly.
