OK, then you'll need to use the Utilities > PostgreSQL Database Functions window to backup your PostgreSQL database.
Then uninstall PostgreSQL using Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
Delete the remnants of the c:\program files\postgresql\8.2\data folder afterwards.
Then reinstall PostgreSQL.
After you do that you'll have to restore your database using the restore section of the PostgreSQL Database Functions window pointing it to the .backup file that was made when you backed up the database.
