PokerTracker 3 version 3.13
October 25, 2013
  • Overview

The Revolution Gaming Network was established on May 31, 2012. Prior to this time the network was refered to as the Cake Network.

This guide is intended for users who wish to manually configure PokerTracker 3 to import hand histories from the Revolution Poker Network in the event that hand histories are not automatically configured for import.

For information on installing and setting up PokerTracker 3, see the PokerTracker 3 Quick Start Guide.

  • Auto Importing Hand Histories

PokerTracker 3 may not be automatically configured to import hand histories from your chosen Revolution Gaming Network poker client. You will have to configure PokerTracker manually in order for PokerTracker to automatically import hand histories.

You will notice immediately if your Revolution Gaming Network poker client is configured to automatically import hand histories by looking at the Auto Import tab. A checkmark will appear in the Auto field beside Revolution Poker Network as shown in the screenshot below.

    PokerTracker 3 Auto Import

Tip: If you do not see Revolution Poker Network listed, check the Show Hidden Sites option.

As you can see in the above screenshot, there is a checkmark in the Auto field for Revolution Gaming Network. If there is no checkmark in the Auto field, the Revolution Gaming Network is not configured to automatically import hand histories.

There are several reasons why your Revolution Gaming Network poker client may not be configured to automatically import hand histories:

    • The Revolution Gaming Network poker client has not been configured to save hand histories to disk. Please see the section in this guide titled Configuring Hand Histories for the Revolution Poker Network.
    • You do not have a Revolution Gaming Network poker client installed on your computer. If you have Revolution Gaming hand histories but no longer have the client installed on your computer, you should use the Manual Import tab. Please see the section in this guide titled Manually Importing Hand Histories.

If the Revolution Gaming Network poker client is configured to save hand histories to your computer and the Auto field is not checked then please read the next section in this guide titled Configuring PokerTracker 3 for the Revolution Gaming Network.

    • Configuring PokerTracker 3 for Revolution Gaming Network

On the Auto Import tab, select Revolution Gaming Network from the site list on the left hand side, then click the Revolution Gaming Network Configuration tab to the right.

      Revolution Configuration

Tip: If you do not see Revolution Gaming Network listed, check the Show Hidden Sites option.

If you do not see your hand history folder listed, click the Auto Detect button. This should add the correct folder to the Directories Configuration. If it doesn't, you can manually select the folder that they are being written to using the Add button.

If you wish PokerTracker 3 to start importing hands from your Revolution Gaming Network poker client whenever you start auto importing, enable the Automatically Start With Auto-Import option.

    • Configuring Hand Histories for the Revolution Gaming Network

To configure your Revolution Gaming Network poker client to store hand histories click the Options button and select the Game Files tab.

Enable the Save my Hand History option and specify where you want the files to be saved – the default of C:\Program Files\SKIN NAME\Hand Histories\ is recommended for simplicity.

Here you need to enable the Save my Hand History option to have the hand history files stored locally on your machine.

You can change where they are saved to if you wish, but it is recommended that you use the default path.

    • Configuring Language for the Revolution Gaming Network

The Revolution Gaming Network poker client must be installed in the English language.

PokerTracker 3 currently only supports English, if the poker client is installed in another language it will cause problems.

If you have the client installed in another language you will need to uninstall it and reinstall using English.

  • Manually Importing Hand Histories

If you have a lot of hand histories that you wish to import you should use the Manual Import tab instead of Auto Import. To manually import hand histories that comes from the Revolution Gaming Network, do the following:

    1. Navigate to the Import -> Manual Import tab if you are not already there.
    2. You can either import a several files using the Import from File(s) button or you can import from an entire directory using the Import from Directory button.
    3. Browse to and locate the hand history file(s) or directory where the hand histories are located.

PokerTracker will now import all of the file(s) selected or the file(s) located in the directory that was selected.
