Using PokerAce Hud

Before Using PokerAce Hud

The most important thing to do before using PokerAce Hud is to have PokerTracker installed and configured correctly. If you are having issues with PokerTracker, please use the Forums, or the Support System.

Okay, so you have PokerTracker configured and importing your hand histories while you play, now how do you configure PokerAce Hud to work with it? When you install PokerAce Hud, it comes ready to work for the most part. You may need to make some configuration changes though, depending on which poker site you want to play on.

Configure a Site

Okay, now that you've got PokerAce Hud configured to work with your poker sites, it's time to get started.

Basic PokerAce Hud Features

Here you can see what PokerAce Hud displays if you have a few of the Party Poker $3/6 6 max tables open. The list shows you all the information about each table and should be pretty self explainatory. Usually, when you open a poker table, PokerAce Hud doesn't display it as soon as you open it. On some poker sites, it may take a full hand or two before PokerAce Hud recognizes the table and adds it to the list.

This is part of what PokerAce Hud offers you while playing. Those numbers being displayed are your opponents' stats that are stored in your PokerTracker database. We'll get into what stats are available and how to configure them a little later.

Please note that PokerAce Hud does not turn your table all black like the image above displays. The numbers will simply appear over top of whatever image you are using.

The default stats that PokerAce Hud displays are as follows: Top Left - VP$IP. Top Right - PFR. Bottom Left - Total Aggr. Bottom Right - Total Hands.

Sometimes, you need more information than can be placed on the poker window itself. In those cases, you would want to use the popup stats. This appears when you left-click on the player's name. (Note: If you are having problems getting the popup to appear, hold your left-click for a second or so, it should appear shortly).

Here is the feature that most people fall in love with and cannot do without: The mucked hands at showdown. How many times do you have a player calling your river bet only to muck his hand and you're left wondering what he called down with? Instead of going through the pains of searching back into the hand history, PokerAce Hud displays the losing hand right alongside the winning hand so you can easily see what that player just called down with.

This feature does not work identically on all poker sites. Some sites can have the mucked hands display during showdown, while many sites cannot display the mucked hands until the beginning of the following hand. There are even some sites that don't allow you to see the mucked hands. Cryptologic skins never show the mucked hands at showdown and PokerStars and UltimateBet don't show the mucked hands unless you were dealt into the hand.
