Can I install PokerTracker on more than one computer?

Yes, your PokerTracker 3 registration code is good for use on two separate computers. You should use the same registration code on both computers.

I have reinstalled PokerTracker 3 and need a new registration code.

You should continue using the same registration code that was initially provided to you. If you no longer have the email with your registration code and are registered on the PokerTracker website you can view your code directly on the site under My Account -> Registration Codes.

I have purchased TableTracker yet it claims my subscription has expired.

If after restarting PokerTracker 3, your subscription has not been updated then open 'My Computer', browse to your PokerTracker 3/Data/Config directory and delete the file named 'PokerTracker.lic'. Start PokerTracker 3, enter your PT3 registration code and you should now have access.

If you do not have your PT3 registration code, you can view it directly on the PokerTracker website under My Account -> Registration Codes.

If after doing all of the above, you are still having trouble, please contact us via the PokerTracker Support system.

Do I need to purchase an upgrade to PokerTracker 3?

Yes, PokerTracker 3 is a major re-release of the PokerTracker software therefore you will need to purchase an upgrade. However, you do receive an upgrade discount. Please see 'Do I receive a discount' below.

Do I receive a discount?

Yes, current PokerTracker/PokerAce Hud customers receive a special upgrade price dependent on the length of time that they have owned PT/PAH prior to upgrading to PT3. Below is the percentage of your original PT/PAH purchase price that will be applied to your PT3 purchase:

  • < 2 months, 100% of the PT2/PAH price off of PT3
  • < 6 months, 60%
  • < 1 year, 40%
  • > 1 year, 20%

Ex: You purchased PT2 and PAH on 2/19/2008. PT3 is released on 3/25/2008. If you upgrade to PT3 prior to 4/19/08 you will receive 100% of your PT2/PAH purchase towards PT3. If you purchase after 4/19/08 and before 8/19/08, you will receive 60% of your PT2/PAH purchases price towards PT3.

I am an existing PokerTracker/PokerAce Hud customer. How do I receive my upgrade discount?
  1. You need to first register for an PokerTracker website account.
  2. Next, link your previous PokerTracker/PokerAce Hud purchases to your account via My Account -> Order History.
  3. Once linked to your account, your upgrade discounts will automatically be applied to your shopping cart when you proceed to purchase PokerTracker 3.

Technical Questions/Issues

I have installed PokerTracker 3. What is my password?
PokerTracker 3 does not contain a password; however, the PostgreSQL database which is installed does require a password which you are prompted to choose during installation. If you did not select a password then the default password is 'dbpass' (no quotes).
What is PostgreSQL and is it required to use PokerTracker 3?

PostgreSQL is an open-source database server which is free to use. It is not owned by PokerTracker Software, LLC. nor have any PokerTracker employee's been involved in the PostgreSQL coding/development. To learn more about PostgreSQL, please visit http://www.postgresql.org.

Yes, PostgreSQL is required to work PokerTracker 3 and will automatically install it for you. PokerTracker stores all of your hands and various stats into your PostgreSQL database for retrieval at a later time therefore PostgreSQL.

Stats are slow to retrieve in PokerTracker 3 and/or stats are slow to display/update in the HUD.

Databases grow with the number of hands that are imported and over time performance will start to slow down. It is imperative that you frequently run PokerTracker 3's Housekeeping via Database->Housekeeping. We recommend that you:

  • CLUSTER: Every 50,000 - 100,000 hands
  • VACUUM: Every 10,000 - 20,000 hands (same time as analyze)
  • ANALYZE: Every 10,000 - 20,000 hands (same time as vacuum)
  • UPDATE CACHE: Every 25,000 - 50,000 hands

Performing the above housekeeping on a regular basis will keep PokerTracker operating at its fastest possible performance.
