I'm using PT4

I'll play several hands, then my hud will freeze and I'll need to stop the hud then start it again for the hud to start up again. When I say freeze I mean the vpip won't change, number of hands won't change, bb won't change etc.

Do I have to buy PT4 or is there a way to just upgrade to PT4?

Whenever I type a password in it says: please type the correct password for the postgres account. Thing is I've only ever used the trial version, (which I deleted from my computer along with postgres when the trial ended) so shouldn't the password be the same?
