Re: Connecting to Database on a different drive?

Thanx, but the whole issue is moot - I inadvertently trashed both C & D drives, so have to reinstall Windoze  , and recover my data from a backup
Thanx for your continuing terrific support, NRN

Re: Connecting to Database on a different drive?

Thanx that, but, as you'll see from the attached zip file, the pointer to the folders is not apparent from the text in the postgresql.conf file. In case it matters, I have installed PostgreSQL on the D: drive, in D:\Poker Stuff\PostGreSQL 9 but not on the E drive. Can you please: 1. tell me how to a...

Connecting to Database on a different drive?

I have 3 PT4 dbs on D:\Poker Stuff\PostGreSQL 9, and these are mirrored (using MirrorFolder, an app I recommend) to E:\Mirror of D\Poker Stuff\PostGreSQL 9. The 3 dbs occupy some 26 GB, on both drives, and I need to link PT4 to the dbs on E, in order to free up space on D to create a partition to pe...

Re: PS Import Problems, in PT4 & PT3

Still couldn't get PT3 to import the PS HHs, (maybe the HH format changed?) so, after backing up the PT3 database, and creating a new, empty one, I deleted the old PT3 one, and uninstalled PT3. I now have 23.7GB available on the drive containing the PT4 database, which are, collectively, 32GB in tot...

Re: PS Import Problems, in PT4 & PT3

I ran Vacuum Full on the PT4 database, and then manually re-imported successfully, thanx for the tip. Will do so for the PT3 one, and report progress. As to freeing up space, I fear not possible, mebbe I should get a bigger SSD ;-).

Re: PS Import Problems, in PT4 & PT3

I thought that, too, but I have 15.1GB free on my C: drive, and 12.3GB available on the D: Drive (PostGreSQL is on D:\Poker Stuff\PostGreSQL 9). Both are 55GB total size.

Re: PT4 "Unable to connect...check configuration"

Reinstalled the postgresql-9.2.9-3-windows-x64.exe, it saw the databases, PT4 updated them, & PT3 works, too. Thanx for the help, we can now consider this issue resolved satisfactorily, and thus closed.
