Re: Rebuild Cache time needed for large PT 2 converted dbase

White, Thank you for your quick reply and to-the-point answers. I truly appreciate it. Two follow up questions come to mind: 1. Since I already hit 'cancel' in the current Rebuild Cache process (about 15% complete I'd estimate and still going after 5-6 hours) and got the message of 'will cancel when...

Rebuild Cache time needed for large PT 2 converted dbase ...

Hi, 1. I upgraded to PT 3 3.08.1 in the last couple days from PT v2. 2. I had a single PT v2 dbase of cash ring games with some 2,800,000 HHs, 3. After I upgraded my PostgreSQL v.8.2.11 to v.9, I found that PT 3 would only recognize this PT 2 dbase if I continued to use my PostgreSQL v8.2.11 and so ...

Re: Purge players: # of hands & hide, no hands played AND .

Kraada, Thank you for the quick response, consideration and succinct information. I do appreciate it. It's great to hear about PT3's ability to handle larger dbases. In PT3, as I understand it, PAHud functionality is built-in. Does this PAHud integrated functionality in PT3 mean that these much larg...

Purge players: # of hands & hide, no hands played AND ...

Hi, In advance of upgrading to PT3, I want to clean out, merge, purge accumulated PT2 v.2.17.04g dbases down to the core, tighter group of players that matter, some of which I have HHs going back 4-5 years. IF the merge/purge questions I have below can be done in PT3 and not PT2, great!; and you'll ...

Re: Restore Error unknown - Known Compress Error

Re-indexing the dbases through PostgreSQL Command line instructions did the trick!

Thank you.

Remembering that I use PTv2, is re-indexing through PostgreSQL something that should be done periodically as a add'l part of regular PostgreSQL dbase Maintenance like Compress and clustering?

Restore Error unknown - Known Compress Error

Hi, Background: I have PTv2.19.04g and PostgreSQL 8.2.11 installed and work fine together importing new PS hands. Running on an Intel i7 920 with Win 7 Pro 64-bit. In moving my PTv2 dbases from one location to another, I thought it 'wise' to redo Compress after Restore on my older, 'frozen' dbases, ...

re: New Registraton code needed

Hi, The recent updates of Win7 Pro 64 corrupted some files and because of that, I screwed up my PAHUD install while 'fixing' things elsewhere. I took the opportuniy to reinstall PAHUD to a new drive path and get the 'trial expired' error. Please send me a new registration code fo PAHUD v1.19.05. Tha...

Re: Failed to set permissions on the installed files.

Hope this ending section of the postgre log for the failed install I just attempted. I hope I grabbed enough of the last section of the log report for you to work with. If you need the entire log file, just let me know where to email it to. Note: It has always been the way since the first usages of ...

Re: Failed to set permissions on the installed files.

An excerpt from the 'pgprm.log' that is an exact duplicte of each of many failed install attempts are the same each time as directly below: " processed dir: F:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.2 processed dir: F:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.2\bin processed dir: F:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.2\data pro...
