Reinstallin PT4 - NO Postgres?

Hi

I have just had to reinstall PT4 from scratch but it doesn't prompt to download Postgres. Do I now need to download this separately?

What are these files?

I have a load of files titled 55833.1 (or similar) and saved in C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgresSQL\8.3data\base

These files are huge. I assume they are important and can't be deleted? Please could you advise.

You can't purge data from the database just for some players - we purge based on the hand and the players get affected based on whether they continue to have data in the database or not. Additionally, if a player exists in both databases with the same number of hands, would it be slower to interrogate his stats in the larger database?
