There isn't an option for that but you can set a filter for a more recent range of time/hands via 'More Filters -> Game Details -> Dates' and that will give you a much shorter list.

That error indicates the database is damaged so it will probably prevent you from backing up your database as well. Even if you are able to backup/restore the database it will be restored in exactly the same state it was when you backed it up so that likely wouldn't resolve the error in the restored...

Merge do not write any tournament summary information so for MTTs you will need to enter your results manually via the Edit Tournament Results window. PokerTracker 4 can detect most STT types and infer the entry fee and prize from the hand data, but that isn't possible for MTTs.
