Mac version?

Postby mikethicke » Thu Jan 24, 2008 11:19 pm

There was a Mac version promised for PT3, but I there isn't a download for it. Is this still in the works?

It as been stated in the 2p2 forums several times that the Mac client will not be available until later this year.

IIRC the code *should* recompile easily for mac (and linux) - but will not be done until it is out of beta on windows.

No point complicating the debug process by cross compiling when there are still bugs to be hunted in the core code imo.

I would be really interested in a Linux version or in a Wine compatible version.
I playing at pokerstars using Wine, I would love to have PT3 working with wine too

Another option if you can't wait, would be something such as [url=http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/c4j]parallels[/urlc4j]

Not sure how difficult it would be to setup postgresql\hand historys with that - might involve emulating your client aswell instead of a native PStars client for example

Parallels isn't worth it in my opinion. I upgraded my OS to Leopard, bought Windows Vista, and now everything (PT3, my FTP account) is running pretty smooth. Just go the Boot Camp route...

Okay, so I was invited for the beta testing, but I signed up because I am a Mac user and was anticipating PT3 for that exact reason.

Not having bootcamp means hat I can't cross platform or anything. When is the actual Mac version planned for release?

I am more than happy to beta test the crap out of it.

Let me know, please.
