Warning - Don't download new PT3...

If you were planning to play poker this weekend or use PT3 anytime soon I strongly recommend you don't download the new version.

If you do it will force you to update all your databases before you can use the new software. This is a lengthy proccess if it works, if it doesn't work, as happened for me, you can no longer use PT3 old or new in anyway.

The release notes warn of the need to update your databases, and that this can take some time for large databases.
If you stop the process part way through it may cause problems, although if you start PT3 again it should complete the updates. If you have issues please report your problem so that we can investigate.

Can't we back up our history files by making a copy in another folder?

You can make a Backup of your databases before you update – it's always a good idea to have backups anyway.
Your hand history files are stored in the PokerTracker 3\Processed by default and you can always reimport from there.
