Fatal Exception during Auto-Import process...

Postby superwang » Wed Oct 28, 2009 7:56 pm

Hi my PT3 was working yesterday, and for some reason its not working now...
I think Windows might have done an auto-update while I was out though. Using Vista.
Got this message:-

Fatal Exception during Auto-Import process: Unable to connect to database: PokerTracker 3 Database
2009/10/29 07:53:11: PartyGaming: Stopping auto-import.
2009/10/29 07:53:11: PokerStars: Stopping auto-import.
2009/10/29 07:53:12: Auto-Import stopped.

Any help would be appreciated thanks!

As a Vista user double-check the steps in these in case something was undone:

Required disabling of Vista's UAC (steps 1 - 6 only)
Running Poker software as "Administrator" (see "ATTENTION: Windows VISTA users...")

You didn't get an error when starting PokerTracker3, just once it was running? If so please see this: http://www.pokertracker.com/products/PT3/docs/?doc=firewall

Hi, thanks for the response.
Checked all the steps.
UAC is off, firewall allowing PT3.
Running as administrator.

I can load PT3, but I cannot see anything else. No stats, hand history etc.
And cannot "Begin Auto-Import"

Should I try uninstalling and re-installing everything?
Will I lose all my hand histories etc?

Thanks

Could you also provide the link for step by step instructions how to uninstall and re-install everything?
Thanks very much

After a Windows update rebooting your computer should be enough to get the postgres service to start again - even if you've rebooted once, please try it again.

If not, you can re-install postgres, although that isn't normally necessary.
How to reinstall Postgres
