And you put your remote linux box's IP address and port into the configuration?

What happened when you started PT3?

I didn't put in the IP address of the box, just the hostname, which was configured in the hosts file.

I was getting a message saying PT3 needed PostgreSQL in order to run.

I solved the problem by installing the full PT3+PSQL and then pointing to my remote box once I got the main app up and running.

Good deal. We will get this fixed in a future release so that a local install is not required.
