I've been told that we expect this to be done sometime after the first 2 weeks of November according to our current development calendar; therefore if you are an active 888 player and still use PT3 we suggest making the move to PT4 now rather than later (PT3's end of life is July 2014).

Thanks for the update kraada. You mention that PT3's end of life is July 2014, however PT3 is pretty dead for 888 players right now. Should software not be fully functional UNTIL end of life?

PT4 is great, but it's a steep learning curve, I am not enjoying having this forced upon me. And how do I know that PT4 may become less that fully functional before it's end of life?

Until last week, I have always found your customer support through this forum second to none. The lack of information, and now the delay in a fix becoming available, are not what I expected of your company. Sad to say, but this has been very disappointing.

with the german software of 888 you can downgrade to the older version so that pt3 is importing hands again!

its not the solution of the problem but it´ll help until pt3´s new update coming

Why you need so long for this simple update? The PT4 updates came much much faster. This seems not fair too long time customers. I planed to switch to PT4 someday, but I don´t have the time for it now. And it now feels like you try to force people to switch to PT4 immidiatly. This is not fair for a software, which is "supported" until the summer of 2014!

Umm.. but if I'd already paid for PT3.. should I now also pay the full amount for PT4 or can I upgrade at a discounted rate?

Can't we just use a text editor to change the 888 file so it will import?

I believe that if you change "888 poker" (or whatever your skin now uses) back to "Cassava" in the HH header then the hands should import. I do expect an update for PT3 soon, once we can finalize and test the other remaining changes. PT4 was already updated to hand this change by 888.
