Postgresql Database Programmer

Hi. I do have a background in some database programming, but it's been a lot of years, and I've never worked with postgresql before. I'm looking to make a rather simple application tapping into my postgresql poker database. I'd like to utilize some front end for this. I'm hoping for recommendations of what software is a good frontend and what i might need to get started learning to tap into the postgresql backend.

Furthermore, if there's a database programmer that is looking for a side job. I'd certainly be willing to pay someone to guide me.

PGAdmin comes with PostgreSQL and allows you to interact with the databases, but I would expect that any decent database software would work with postgres. I haven't used anything specific personally, though.
