Try creating a new directory on the root of the C drive (call it C:\PostgreSQL or something) and try uninstalling and reinstalling there (keep Secondary Logon running though, that is always needed). and that may also work better.

Hi, Im having similar issues while installing Postgre 9.0. I get stuck in the password section. Tried putting dbpass, wont work. tried to skip the section leavin fields blank (wont let me). I went to Services and put it to auto and start. Not sure what to do now.

Thanks for help.

You need to put a password in. Try these two as they are common ones that may work:
svcPASS83
postgrespass

If neither of those two work, follow the steps here and that will delete the account and it will be recreated the next time you go through the installer so any password will work.
