Starting Services in postgressql

My installation keeps stoppign here pretty much. Im running xp and I'm pretty sure im logged in as admin. But yea it wont start up for me. The exact error msg is "PSQL failed to start verify that you have suficient priveledges to start system services."

Have you already installed PostgreSQL once before? If so you may receive this error message; PostgreSQL only needs to be installed once.

Are you on an account with Administrator privileges? You need to be in order to be able to install PostgreSQL properly. Please make sure your account has these rights.

This can also happen as a result of certain anti-virus software being particularly unpleasant. F-secure apparently does this, I'm not sure about any others off the top of my head . . .

yep it was my antivirus norton.... Uninstalled it though and got something better hehe. thx a lot

i too have f-secure and it works fine together with this little "trick"
