You cannot directly import Access databases nor can you currently convert them.

In PT2 go Utilities->Export Hand Histories to File and export all of your hands. Then in PT3, manually import these files.

Make sure that you click 'Refresh' after importing new hands. Currently the stats are not auto-refreshing therefore you need to manually do it. In the future, we plan on adding an auto-refresh feature. :)

THANK YOU - this worked - nice instructions - easily followed!

Now only one problem left - I played several tournaments since April 24th (11:35 PM) and 135 ring game hands on April 25, all using PT3 - but none of these sessions appear in the appropriate lists.

Good, I am glad to hear we are making progress! :)

What exactly do you mean they are not appearing in the list? Do you mean there is no place of finish, amount won, etc for these tournaments?

Best regards,

Derek

Tournaments (populated list) and Ring Game (sessions by table or time) are not being listed in PT3 since approx. 23:30 hr of April 24th, despite playing 335 ring hands and several tournaments.

Just to confirm, you don't have any filters set - click "Clear", and you've clicked "Refresh".
What about if you set a filter for April 25 - do you see any hands?

I have no Filters selected; hands are importing properly (checked hand numbers); HUD has new (since April 25th) opponent's stats, but neither these latest tournaments or ring games are being included in the populated list.

It is possible that this was the night I watched the StoxPoker video for PT3 (banner above) and may have altered the Processed hand and/or Observed hand files/location (between the 2 databases listed - Poker Tracker 3 Beta Database 1 and the PT3_2008_04_20_162545 database)... I will watch the video again and see if anything seems off!

After watching the StoxPoker video again, I reset databases to `Current Active Database" and attempted a manual import from PT3 and PostSgre <sp> and it seems to have recovered all the missing hands but received a strange error message amongst importing files that read "Encountered unexpected end of hand history (Line #36)" whatever that means.. but it seems that I have the missing data back now. WHEW!

Encountered unexpected end of hand history (Line #36)

This is just a warning which is very common and should not be a problem. The hand(s) should still be imported. :)

I am glad you were able to resolve the issue through the Stox video. They have some very good video's on their site and plan on creating a wide array of PT3 videos in the near future! :)

Best regards,

Derek
