PokerStars - August 2009 Update causing problems...

Postby ptrack pat » Thu Jul 30, 2009 4:00 pm

This is because they added the currency description ("USD") to the hand histories and the tournament summaries.

v2.17.04G can be downloaded here:
http://s217900936.onlinehome.us/patch21704g.exe

For anyone that isn't able to see their data on the Ring Stats window, this is because the hands were importing with "USD" as part of the game level (a new game level was created - i.e. "$3/6 USD" instead of just "$3/$6").

If you want to correct your data, you need to use the Utilities > Database Maintenance and Options window to purge these sessions with the wrong game levels and then reimport your hand histories with the latest patch.

I'm really impressed with you. Any time I have a problem with PTH, I come to your website, you have a fix available, I apply it and the problems solved. Thanks for your diligence and prompt support!

On the ball as ever, Pat. Thank you.

One question: I now have a redundant USD game level on the preferences tab that I'd like to get rid of. Can you confirm that, if I purge that limit, it won't actually purge any hands.

Go to the Utilities > Database Maintenance and Options window.
Click on the database description field at the top left corner of the window and then hit F12.
This will make another tab become visible on the far right side - use the little arrow keys (i.e. < >) to scroll to the right so you can see that tab. It's label is "Fix Level". In that list, click on the level you want to delete and it will remove it. Note that before this will work, you would have had to have deleted and reimported your files that were causing the incorrect level to be created.

Done, thanks.

I can see you being busy when Stars introduce multiple currency options.

Just a note about that. PT2 will not be supporting any currency but USD. Their CAD, EUR and GBP games will not be supported by PT2, for users wanting to import those correctly, they'll need to upgrade to PT3.

So, that's pretty much the death knell for PT2, then. :(

I guess you deserve a rest after all your hard work. ;)

You need to be requesting and importing the tournament summaries. Read the FAQ.

Is there a posted procedure for doing this for PS cash game hands?
