Full Tilt Update - Is this the end of PT2

Postby popowich » Wed Jul 21, 2010 4:09 pm

Hello,

I am still using PT2 and after today's Full Tilt software upgrade I'm not able to import hand histories.

PT2 reads the files but says that 0 hands have been imported. PAHUD still displays already known data, cards after hands, etc.

Is this the end of PT2... time to finally make the upgrade?

This is a bug in the Full Tilt software and they will be releasing a fix.
However, PT2 is no longer being supported now that PT3 is established. You are free to continue using PT2 of course, but it will not be updated when sites make changes which break something.
There is a 60 day free trial of PT3 and PT2 and/or PAHud owners get a discount.

Oh, well, too late now I think. I downloaded PT3 2 days ago and the upgrade PT2 database to Pt3 is still running.

Any idea how long a db of mostly 2 million FTP cash game hands should take?

The import itself finished and had a timer, day2 has been the updating cache on pt3 database message box.

For a database of that size "Update Cache" will take quite a long time.
You might find it quicker to end the process and use the "Rebuild Cache" option on Database > Housekeeping. For large updates that will be significantly faster.
