Autorate rules

Postby BluePredator » Mon Sep 13, 2010 4:46 am

Hello.
I think there are the problems with autorate rules.
Or maybe I am wrong and need good advice.

I have decided write my own rules. (for HL )
EG.
Good player:
Vol. Put Money In Pot % is less than or equal to 22.00 AND Won $ At Showdown % is greater than or equal to 65.00 AND Amount Won is greater than 1.00
But I haven't got very good results, because all players with negative ammount also are included in this list. (with red color). Why?
The same results I have got when I used BB/100.
I need to see only playes with positive $, but players with negative stats (red color) also are included.
Am I wrong and what I have to do ?

The rating process does not filter players, rather it sets the player icon of players based on the criteria you set up. Is that what you are saying is happening - that the icon is applied to players that have lost money even though the rating is set up to have Amount Won > $1.00?

Also make sure that the people that show red numbers are actually being re-rated. For example if they say Good Player but have not played enough hands to be re-rerated then they will still have the Good Player icon next to them.

Thank you for advice, but I use option autorate, when import hands.
Also I have one additional questions:

I used autorate for players with 1000 played hands. After that I decided to use it with 100, after that - with 20 and finally with 10.
It was all correct. Then I have decided that it is not very good and wanted use icons and autorate rules for people, who played at least 100 hands.
But...there are problems.
Icons for players who played <100 hands didn't changed and I don't know what to do now.

What you should do first is rate ALL players having played any number of hands. Set up a generic rating category/icon in first priority so that all players will be given that icon. Then re-run your real rules for players having > 100 hands.

Thank You, but how to set up a generic rating category/icon in first priority ?
Which rule do you use to put all people in one category?

Create a simple rule on the "?" icon that would apply to all players, like Vol Put $ in the Pot greater than or equal to 0.00. Change the Priority field to 1 on that rule. That will make all players fall into that category and give them a "?" rating icon. Then remove that rule and apply your real rules with the Number of Hands limit applied.
