You have to configure your email settings in poker tracker as well as configure your email account to enable POP. If you can it would be much easier to save the Hand History files to a directory and import from that.

How to configure Gmail for POP

And from poker tracker to configure the POP information you select Configure -> Site and Import Options from the poker tracker toolbar and go to the accounts configuration section.

As Nucleuss said, the alternative is to save the hands from the email to a text file. Be sure to save as plain text, and not copy into a Word document or other formatted document file if you do it that way.

That document only displays data by day and it does not contain the specific details of individual hands (e.g. time of hand, cards dealt, bets and raises made e.t.c.) and/or tournaments (tournament number, entry fee, amount won e.t.c.) so there is nothing PokerTracker 4 can import from that.

I've never been able to successfully configure my PT to import the hand histories in my emails. I can copy and paste the email text, but when trying this before it wouldn't work. I'm a Mac user, so can anyone tell me which software to use and if I need to change anything such as deleting spaces in between hands?

You can use TextEdit for that which is included on Mac OSX. When saving the file make sure you save it as plain text and that the format is exactly as the original (lines should not be split, etc) but if your hands are not importing then attach your text file to a Support Ticket so we can take a look.
