Join the PokerTracker team! We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst. This is a remote position offering full-time contract work with flexible hours. As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high quality and reliability of PokerTracker and our other software products.

Hourly Rate: Up to $25-35/hour

Responsibilities:
  • Replicate bugs reported by customers: Accurately reproduce reported bugs to better understand the underlying issues and potential impact on user experience.
  • Create bug tickets: Create detailed bug tickets that thoroughly describe the problem, including steps to reproduce and any additional relevant information. These tickets will serve as a comprehensive guide for the development team.
  • Collaborate with the development team: Work closely with the development team to understand the root causes of bugs and assist in their resolution. Act as a bridge between customers and developers, effectively communicating the necessary information to ensure efficient bug fixes.
  • Test bug fixes: Validate bug fixes submitted by developers to ensure that the reported issues have been successfully resolved. Conduct regression testing to identify any unintended side effects or new issues introduced by the fixes.
  • Test automation: Develop and maintain test cases and automation to ensure continuous testing of software functionalities. This includes creating tests to detect and prevent regressions and conducting regular test runs to guarantee the stability and quality of the software.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role.
  • Familiarity with poker, specifically Texas Holdem and Omaha, is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Ability to replicate, isolate, and document software bugs effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to testing.
  • Experience working remotely and managing time effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of automation testing tools and techniques is a plus.
