Replay hands

Postby gigenieks » Fri Jun 01, 2012 9:29 pm

Hello!

I'm new, first time using poker database software, if I understand correctly PokerTracker 4 Quick Start Guide:

I should have see hands in Play Poker >> View Today's Hands
but I don't see any although I played several thousands already.

What I wanted is: to replay my 1st June 2012 session with HUD which I saw when I played those hands!
I hope my english isn't too bad..

Is this bug or something? Or I'm missing something silly?
Any step-by-step guide?

Please help. :)

You will only see hands in "View Today's Hands" while you're playing.
To replay hands afterwards use the View Stats section.

For example, go to View Stats > $ or T > Results > Summary > Group by Table Session. Select the session you're interested in at the top, and then at the bottom you will see all the hands. If you want to see all hands in the order you played them click on the Hand# or Date column header to re-sort. (If you played more than 100 hands and want to see them all be sure to change the 'Most Recent X Hands' option too.)

Now right click on the hands report and choose 'replay all hands in report'.

In the Replayer click the Options button to enable the Hud and to change options such as whether the stat values are from the time the hand was played (or lifetime).

I did what you said.

I found some sessions of NL2, but since I installed PT4 I had only played NL10 and quite a number hands.
I see only 14 sessions of NL2 which is from March 12 to March 17.

Now I'm sure something is wrong.
What do I do now? How can we fix this?
Do I need to add additional information?

If hand history files were being written before then the files may still have been in your hand history folder when you first imported.

Are you saying you didn't play these hands, or that these are the only hands you see in PT4?
If it's the latter, check that you have the correct player selected from the player list, and that you don't have any filters enabled in the sidebar on the left.

They are only hands I see. I don't see all hands I have played!
For example, I don't see today's hands there or yesterdays (I have played ~200+ today)

The player is right one. No filters enabled.

Were the hands imported as you played?
Please check the PokerStars Configuration Guide to make sure you have things set up correctly to import the hands you play.

I'm not playing at PokerStarts, but on Party Poker.

Anyway I will check that guide, and see if everything is configured correctlly. ;)

Here is a bit info:

1) I didn't change anything here or see any error when I installed PT4.

2) From your guide "This guide is intended for users who wish to manually configure PokerTracker 4 to important hand histories from PokerStars..." so I found guide intended for Party Poker I guess this one

3) "PokerTracker 4 imports text hand histories that are saved to your computer by the Party Network poker client." --> I checked if there is any hand history files in C:\Programs\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\HandHistory\gigenieks, there were various empty folders. Huh? :?:

4) So I tried to check my Party Poker client preferences, only option I found related to Hand Histories was "Store Hand history logs" which was checked. Why then there are none hand history files in those folders?

What is wrong?

On the bright side, I feel we are getting closer!
Thanks for helping.

Sorry - I must have imagined reading PokerStars..!

Is PT4 configured to import from the correct folder?
That is "C:\Programs\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\HandHistory" in your case.

If it is, then the previous hands have probably been imported and the files will have been moved to the "Processed" folder, which you can access via File > Open User Data Folder. Are there any hand history files in there (including subfolders)?

Try playing a few hands and see if a new file is written to the folder you found?

If not, try restarting the Party Poker software but use 'Run As Administrator' (if you're using Windows 7 or Vista).

Yes.

Yes, when I open "Processed" there is 2 subfolders:
  • InitialImport
  • PartyGaming

And in "PartyGaming" folder is folder named "2012" which have 3 subfolders:
  • 05-31
  • 06-01
  • 06-02
I checked them, yes the hand history is correct.

Yes, everything is as it should be.

But the problem persists - I still have access only to some old, old NL2 sessions (14) of March, no access to today's or yesterdays hands played.

So what is the problem?! :?
