Filtering Question

Postby QTip » Sat Dec 15, 2012 4:50 am

I'm trying to make a filter, and I'm having a hard time getting it figured out.

I want to filter hands that on the river my hand value is middle pair or worse.

I feel like the "made hand on x street" is messing stuff up for me.

Thanks for any help.

If you have added the "made hand" filters separately then they will be combined using "AND" by default, and that will mean that no hands are found - you can't have "no pair AND one pair", for example.

Once you've added the made hand filters that you want to include (in this case, high card and low pairs) you can use the 'OR' Selected option on the Current / Active Filters window. Control-click to select the filters that you want to combine and click 'OR' Selected at the bottom.

For example, add "high card on the river", then this:

..then combine them like this:

Notice that the filters you added in one go are already combined with 'OR'.

That's actually what I originally tried. I did find out what the problem was. The filter you have shown there was also giving me top pairs and overpairs.

What I had to do was ungroup the "Made one pair on river OR made one pair on river using...."

Then combine those using an AND. So it reads "Made one pair on river AND made one pair on river using..."

Ah yes, of course - apologies for not spotting that. We have that issue in our system to be addressed, but the initial combination of filters is a little complex internally and I'm not sure when that will be fixed.
