postgresql issues - PLEASE HELP

Hi there,

I recently purchased PT$ Small Stake Edition. I´m using PT4 for the first time.

I have installed postgresql, it is visible under "programs" and can be started.

If I start PT4, this window appears:

"Unable to login to database (postgres). Reason: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "???" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432? "

Of course I read the topics in various forums, I have tried out all the different passwords etc.

Still not working.

Always just this window:

"Unable to connect to this database. Please check the configuration."

Can anyone help in this thread to make my PT4 running?

Do you have PostgreSQL installed on your machine?
Click Start (in Windows) and type 'services' and open the Services window. Do you see PostgreSQL in the list? Is it started? Can you start it?
