Hero vs. Villain Report

Postby QTip » Wed Feb 12, 2014 4:10 pm

I was perusing this report seeing my win/losses versus various opponents. When you click on a villain, the Hands Versus Opponent display on the bottom. On examining hands versus specific villains, I noticed something.

For example, Villain opened, I 3bet, the big blind shoved, villain folded, I called. The big blind won the hand, and that shows up as a large loss in this list. However, this villain didn't take my money; the big blind took my money.

A similar example: Villain was in the small blind and I got in a confrontation with a different opponent. Even though Villain folded preflop, this hand shows in Hands Versus Opponent when I highlight that Villain in the report above.

The Hands Won + Hands Lost does equal the total hands in the Hands Versus Opponent display.

Are we sure the Net Winnings column is only versus that specific Villain? Or is this money won/lost any time Villain contributed money to the pot?

Also, if it truly is the Net Winnings versus a specific Villain, is there a way to determine the all-in EV adjusted Net Winnings?

Thanks.

The hands list shows hands where you both had money in the pot. The amount won or lost and number of hands won or lost are from those hands, regardless of what happens after your money was in the pot (so a third player winning is still included).

So, the amount in the Net Winnings column of this report is not the results won/lost from confrontations between that particular Villain and me?

You both had money involved in the hands that are counted in that list. It's not necessarily hands you lost the money directly to him. This compromise was reached because you would want hands where you both got involved where there was heavy multiway betting even if the villain didn't win.

OK. Interesting. I was looking at a couple villains were the net loss was huge against them. I was thinking they were destroying me. While that's still a possibility, t's also quite possible that Villain simple posted a blind many times when someone else stacked me.

Thanks.

Try to export hand and import in new database and you will see:
You : lose 100bb
BB: win 100b
Villan: lose -open size
I am sure results will be this.
