Frustration over 888: no import

Postby eurotic » Wed Aug 13, 2014 1:04 am

I decided to give a shot to 888 cardroom, but can't make it work with PT4 (windows, up to date) neither for cash or tourneys. It is not just a PT4 issue though as I've tried it with Holdem manager cloud with no luck as well. I moved the HH folder around, manually imported HH (same errors), set up the room via wizard and manually. All of my software and the 888 client come in English. It is all fluent with other rooms.

At the same time the HH are readable and site like pokerhandreplays.com have no issues with processing it.

Am i overlooking something here??

It says stuff like this (replaced it with hero and villains)

Were these hand histories written by the 888 software directly? What skin are you playing at?

The histories are missing the "** Dealing down cards **" section which PT4 expects, and don't include any of your hole cards.
I suggest that you contact your site's support about this and they should be able to tell you why the hands do not include your hole cards, and provide you with the complete histories.

Yes they were! 888 poker. After reading your input i just re-downloaded and re-installed the client from a different source (it was called pacific poker this time but it installed exactly the same software called 888poker, even all the setting are saved and the same). But this time it insta works! :) Al least for now.

Thanks a lot for you help!

I presume from his skin's main page. Which 888 skin are you using?

I did install 888 for the first time. The problem is the same with hand detection

Error: 888 Poker: Access violation (0) (Flags: 0; Address: 0x0097b516; EIP: 0x0097B516)(Line #149)
07:52:29 pm: Error: 888 Poker: Access violation (0) (Flags: 0; Address: 0x0097b516; EIP: 0x0097B516)(Line #150)
07:52:29 pm: Error: 888 Poker: Invalid pot size/winnings for hand #625799726 (calculated pot: $305.00; reported winnings: $350.00) (Hand #625799726)

etc...

The software in English. What should I do?

Please restart PT4 using the logging enabled link on your Start Menu, reproduce this problem and then report it via our support system with the log file - that will help us figure out what is going on here and get it fixed for you. You can find that file by clicking File --> Show User Data Folder in the main PT4 window - the file we need is the text file called PokerTracker4 that is in that folder.

I had the same problem. I ended up unistall/reinstalling 3 or 4 times before it worked. Each time the HH was being written differently. I only used two different sites to DL the client, so who knows whats going on, but its on 888s end. I would suggest keep trying to unistall/reinstall with restarting your computer inbetween a couple of times.

We have seen a few cases where parts of the hand history information were not being written, and reinstalling the 888 software corrected it. I don't know what causes it, but as you say, it does seem to be on 888's end.

THis is really weird... I wonder if uninstall/reinstall till it works is the only solution still available?
