I think its for me. By the way kraada, I have used format C because I freaked out about this error. Then PT4 was working one time, I installed all other software I need and now I am getting again this "Unable to login to database (postgres)..." error.

I will follow your link now for TCP/IP

And here this errors after trying to start the postgresql thing:

Postmaster.id already exists. (even tho I deleted it and restarted comp) TIPP says: is another Postermaster-Process already running?

In this folder.. Postmaster is already running ...

Taking too much time...

That was for opm. oldwolf, the easiest thing to do for you now is to reimport your hands. If you don't have them your site may be able to send them to you.

opm, did you use a different password or port when installing PostgreSQL? That error is saying PostgreSQL is running so it may just be an issue with logging in. If you changed the password on PostgreSQL's installation you'll need to change the password in PT4 to match in order for PT4 to be able to log in to the database.

Well after setting up windows etc. I downloaded PT4 and it downloaded postgreSQL 9.3 from your servers or so during setup. I thought "okay.. who cares about the version I just do it the way PT4 wants it". I did just kept the "dbpass" as password this time.. but ofc PT4 is using the same. When I have to option to click on Configure during the error, its already entried "password: dbpass, localhost, 5432 ..etc."

So no I did not really change the password, I reinstalled everything and still get the same error, just that my password is now the standard password.

BTW: Now it says couldnt create TCP/IP Sockets again, + too much time

Maybe I should DL Win 10 and hope for the best? I think I gonna do that ...

opm: I'm using Win10 and haven't had any troubles. If you're going to make the jump might as well try now (just make a backup of your hand history files just in case) rather than trying to fix it and upgrading later and potentially introducing more problems.
