the size of the database

Postby wilmots83 » Wed Nov 30, 2016 2:26 am

Hi, the size of my database was 52GB yestreday before I have imported 1,8M hands, and now the size is 70GB. Is that normal? 1,8M hand ~ 18gb after import? Is there any possibility to reduce the size of the database before or after the import. I clustered, reindexed, vacuum and analized and now just 62GB, is there any other things to do? Or what about the options before the import, why create Pt4 so huge database?

Disk space used varies depending on the type of games and table sizes that you play and a rough guideline is about 1GB per 100k hands so those figures don't seem unusual. Also if you have a significant number of custom stats it will increase the size of the database to store them in the cache.
