Postby Doninorrez » Sun Oct 14, 2018 3:19 pm

Hi guys,

I was creating some custom stats for a new HUD and PT4 crashed. I tried to restart the pc and try it again but nothing.
I also tried reinstalling and upgrading it but still doesnt work.

PT4 is not running in the task manager...

Help please. Ty very much. :(

Locate and delete the postmaster.pid file if it is present (not "postmaster.opts" which may be there too). You can find that file in C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.3\data\ although you may have a different PostgreSQL version (e.g. 8.4, 9.0) or have it installed in C:\Program Files (x86). Once it's deleted, reboot your computer and try starting PokerTracker 4 again.

Please restart PokerTracker 4 using the logging enabled link on your Windows Start Menu, reproduce this problem and then send your log file to is in a Support Ticket:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\PokerTracker4.log

If you do not see the AppData folder in Windows File Explorer then see this guide. Once you have the log file you can try going to this folder:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local

Rename the 'PokerTracker 4' folder there to something like 'PokerTracker 4_backup' - do not delete the folder, just rename it. This change is going to cause your existing custom settings to be reset like you're using PokerTracker 4 for the first time (but they are backed up in the folder you renamed above). If PokerTracker 4 is able to start with a default user folder then please zip/compress the 'PokerTracker 4' folder you renamed and attach that to your ticket as well.

PokerTracker4.log file was in... C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Logs\PokerTracker4.log

I renamed the folder and PT4 Runs. I attached the compressed file to the ticket in 2 parts, it was bigger than 10mb.

Should I left PT4 with default config?... If I rename back the folder 'PokerTracker 4_backup' as 'PokerTracker 4' i will recover all when pt4 runs?...

Ty very much again.

If you rename the folder then PokerTracker 4 will likely just crash again and we will need to look at your files to see what's causing that. Once that's done we will get back to you in your ticket.

Ok, I will be waiting for the ticket response.

Thank you very much again! ;)
