filter session duration

Postby daniguru » Sat Jan 12, 2019 7:48 pm

hi
if i filter for "Table Session Duration" and pick lets say 0.20 ...i get an abnormal high winrate....
could it be it skips the times i was in in Blinds sometimes ?? thats why i get such a huge winrate?

thanks a lot

I can't think of any technical reason why your winrate would be higher for shorter sessions, but it could indicate a playing habit. For example maybe if you double up quickly you sit out, but otherwise you don't often play such a short session? If you win or lose a stack in a short session that will look like a big BB/hour value for that session, although in the long run your wins and losses will even out to your actual winrate as for any session - but if there is a bias in your mindset it could be that that is skewing the results for short sessions.

thanks a lot so far...
yes i play a shortstack strategy and if i double up i often sitout...

that would mean i more often double up fast then later on in a session? i dont get it:-)

is there another possibility to filter for how i run when playing shorter sessions (not table sessions)? maybe in the report?
many thanks again

If you sit out when you double up, then your bet win for a winning session will always be the same (roughly) but for longer sessions your BB/100 will be lower - is that the value you're looking at?

first of all many thanks for the fast and good support thanks a lot!

sometimes i play 1 hour at the same table other times i only play like 15minutes on the same table..therefore i am now looking for a filter which can tell me if i perform better on shorter sessions (if i play like only 15 min on the same table)
sorry for my bad englisch:-)

Why can't you use the filter you mentioned in your original post for this?

Hi
Hmm because i somehow dont trust the results...
If i fliter for lets say 10 minute sessions my overall winning are around 1700 USD
Whereas non filtering i am getting somewhere around 100 USD.
I just cant believe i would have made 1700 USD if my sessioms had only lasted 10 minutes...
So im thinking there must be something wrong or i just cant follow the thinking process which leads to such a high winrate

If you are having trouble interpreting your reports or believe there is an issue then please send us screenshots of your PokerTracker 4 report windows and details of your filters to us in a Support Ticket where one of our technicians can take look.
