ACR error

Postby Poker8 » Tue Jan 15, 2019 7:26 am

I have started getting the following error on all hands imported in ACR.

Error: Winning Poker Network (Yatahay): Unable to import hand. Reason: Error: Unable to execute query: COPY tourney_hand_player_statistics FROM STDIN;; Reason: Error: (ERROR: invalid page in block 284854 of relation base/16393/16834 CONTEXT: COPY tourney_hand_player_statistics, line 9 )

Any thoughts?

That error indicates the database is damaged so you can try a reindex via the "Database > Database Management window" - to do that select the affected database, then click "Housekeeping > Reindex". After the housekeeping is complete you should click your database then "Rebuild Cache -> Full Cache Rebuild". Be prepared for this to take a considerable amount of time if you have a large database, so you'll want to run it when you're not using PokerTracker 4 for a while (such as overnight maybe). Make sure that your computer does not power itself off or go to sleep while it's running or you will need to run it again from the start.

I will try that tonight. Thank you for the assistance!

Tried using the methods to fix the error and still no success. How to just delete the database and start a new one?

You can create a new database in PokerTracker 4 and then delete the old one. Also PokerTracker 4 moves your processed hand histories to your 'Processed' folder (which you can access via the "File -> Open User Data Folder" option) and you can reimport from there to repopulate the new database with hands (Play Poker -> Get Hands From Disk). Finally if you need anything from the original database you can export hands and notes (Database -> Notes). This can be important if you play on ACR as you may have alot of manually edited tournament results so exporting those tournaments will create summary files containing your manual results which can be imported into a new database.
