I think I have found a bug in the effective stack filter. C

I think I have found a bug in the effective stack filter.

Checking a huge database had negative winrate in the short section, something that is totally impossible

Investigating I have managed to obtain the problem, In HU games all the hands in which there is a walk the filter considers that the effective stack is 0.

Image attached, stack effective filter = 0 and the walks appear

effective stack filter between 1 and 11 and negative winrate (when the walks are not present)

all player filter with effective stack 1 and 11 ( the winrate should be 0)

Effective stack has a very specific meaning in PokerTracker - it's the amount a player could lose in a pot as of their first action in the hand. Effective stack must be per player or it wouldn't scale to non-heads up situations well so for 3 handed player there are two potential effective stack sizes (assuming unequal stacks) and thus we need it to be per player. Therefore when the BB receives a walk their effective stack is zero since they cannot lose any chips.

With that you are filtering out what was won by the BB via walks. Also filtering for an effective stack between 0 and 11 still will not give a net result of zero if both players have more than 11BB since if the SB folds you would be filtering out those hands from the SB perspective but not from the BB perspective.

Ok...

But if I am a HU player and I want to know my winrate in the different blind sections, but always taking into account the effective stack (the smallest stack). I can not do it? If the walks are not included my winrate will be corrupt.

We have an existing request to add information to the database for 'Hand Effective' (smallest) stack size and you can be linked to this by opening a Support Ticket. In the meantime this might be possible with a custom expression filter with a subquery to test for the effective stack size of the SB.
