Database issues

Postby pogilvieee » Mon Jan 03, 2022 10:19 am

Recently starting using an older MacBook Pro 2015 where I had previously uninstalled PT4 and Posgresql.

Have tried downloading PT4 again and it was unable to connect to the previous database. I then fully uninstalled Posgresql and PT4 to start from fresh, but when I re-downloaded PT4 it automatically pops up with "configure postgreSQL server", which I could not do as postgresql had been uninstalled. I have then tried to reinstall postgresql and configure the server and it still does not work.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Please make sure all elements of any previous PostgreSQL installs have been removed by following this tutorial and then manually download and install PostgreSQL v10 available from here. Using a Mac administrator account or administrative privileges install that PostgreSQL and for the password boxes use "dbpass" (no quotes) which is what PokerTracker 4 uses by default. Once PostgreSQL installs successfully reboot your computer and then try starting PokerTracker 4 again. If that doesn't get things going then open a Support Ticket where one of our technicians can assist further.
