PT4 and postgreSQL 10

Postby Dip Seb » Mon Jan 31, 2022 1:04 pm

Hi, i see in the release note that PT4 is now supporting postgreSQL 10, with better performance.
Is it possible to post a step by step instruction to pass from 9 to 10?

Ty.

There was no specific performance update in the latest version of PokerTracker 4. PostgreSQL tuning support for v10 was added however that isn't available on Mac OSX but it can be tuned manually - see this post. If you want to upgrade PostgreSQL then backup your poker data before uninstalling your current version of PostgreSQL. You can then manually download and install PostgreSQL v10 from here and for the password boxes use "dbpass" (no quotes) which is what PokerTracker 4 uses by default unless you have been using a non-default password in your previous install.
