Can I prevent PostgreSQL from creating a user account that pops up when I start my Mac? Its quite annoying to have a second user there called PostgreSQL with no use and I have to select my regular account before logging in on my Mac. Of its not possible, how can I disable it after installing?

That account needs to exist so that PostgreSQL can work properly.
You can set up automatic login under your preferred account by following
this Apple guide.

What about just hiding it from the login screen somehow?
