PT4 Backup Problem

Postby Batko » Thu May 21, 2020 6:09 pm

Hi all,

I've recently got a new laptop and am trying to migrate my PT4 database from my old machine to my new one.

I'm running the backup as the guide recommends, and the backup seems to be stuck on a Status line of:
"File C:\Users|*MyNameHere*\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Data/*.*"

I left it for about an hour on this stage, then cancelled and restarted (believing there was an issue). However it is stuck in the same place again. Is it normal for it to take a couple of hours or more at this stage? I have included Processed Hands, which I believe takes longer, but I would like to keep them. The estimated Archive Size is 323 MB, if that is of any relevance.

Thanks for any assistance anyone can give me!

In PokerTracker 4 select 'File --> Open User Data Folder' and then drill down into this folder:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Data\AppsData\Tm90ZUNhZGR5\definitions

If this folder contains several backup subfolders then delete them (not the individual definitions in that folder) and try again. You can also backup with 'User Data Files' disabled and manually copy this folder to the new computer:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Data

Alright I'll try this, thanks!
