creating list of villains with notes

Postby rowhousepd » Wed Aug 04, 2010 5:37 pm

Is there a way to create a list to see which players/opponents have notes? Basically I want to review the notes I've been writing on all the regulars I play with and would like to sort all the villains I've played with notes out from those w/out. Is this possible?

Kraada may be able to come up with a clever custom report filter to do this, but I'm not sure. Otherwise this request is on the list.

I made a simple stat "player note":

Section: Holdem Cash Player Statistics (or Holdem Tournament Player Statistics, if you play tournaments)
Expression: if[player_real.flg_note,1,0]
It shows "1" for players with a note, and "0" for all others.

If you add this stat to the 'Player Summary' - Tab, you can sort players with notes!

Oooh, this sounds clever, zerozero! I suppose it would work. Kraada: is there another way to flag players w/ notes & insert the column in the summaries? If not I think zero is onto something.

I'm not sure what you mean by "insert the column on the summaries" - where do you want to see this data?

I meant it sounded like there would be a new column created in the Player Summary window which would indicate whether the player had note on him or not, kind of like there's a little note icon in some of the hand reports. I'm guessing this is how it would work, except it would be "1" for player has a note and "2" for does not have a note. I haven't tried zero's suggestion yet, but that's what it sounds like to me.

Either way, does that sound like the most direct route to seeing which players you have notes for?

I just tried this but apparently this isn't a valid expression. Is this definitely what you wrote -- and it worked?

Yes, it works for me (since months).
That's exactly, what I did:

Sections: 'Holdem Player Statistics'
Columns:
Name: player_note
Expression: if[player_real.flg_note,1,0]
Group by: Summary Type: Sum (don't know if necessary)
Statistics:
Definition:
Name: PlayerNote
Description: if there is a player-note (=1) or not (=0)
Value Expression: plyayer_note
Format:
Title: Note
Width: 30
Format Expression: /%.0f
Format Summary Expressoion: /%.0f

Hope that will help you.
If there is a way to load it up here, I will do, but I don't know how to :?

Hmmm. Well I was able to write the statistic, but when I add it to a report it causes errors. ("Unable to execute query..." and lots of gibberish in red text.) You can export that stat and put it in the repository: http://www.pokertracker.com/repository/statistics.php. I've never added anything there but it looks easy enough.

Sorry, I don't know, why your report don't work (maybe kraada can help).

But if you were able to write the stat, it should work (at least) at the "Summary Tab".
Add it to the 2. second window (Player Summary) and you can sort:
