New Beta 4.05.4 - Avira Antivir 12 problem

I just have downloaded (from your website) and installed the newest beta 4.05.4. While doing so Avira Antivir 12 told me it found a virus/malware and tried to delete the file "partycommunicator.pt4" (I think that was the exact filename, but I'm not 100% sure). I assume everything is ok with the file, but I hope you will look into this.
I guess the file is only used for Partypoker, so can I play on Boss with this file blocked for the time being?

Everything is ok with that file you can restore it confidently.

We submit every release to the major anti-virus providers but I'll see what we can do about that particular one.

It only affects Party Fast Forward support so even if it's quarantined nothing else is affected.

As far as I know Avira is one of the biggest antivir players right now or at least the fastest growing one.
I did not let it delete the file, but it probably would notify me again, if I tried to play on Party. But for now I don't plan to play there, so I should be fine.

i have a similar problem with avira 12 but i get a different file popping up. I have not installed it yet, I just downloaded the beta file and scanned it, it brings up this:

The file 'C:\Users\Dave\Downloads\PT-Install-v4.05.4.exe'
contained a virus or unwanted program 'TR/Crypt.TPM.Gen' [trojan]

Is this also a false positive?

Yes, that's also a false positive - it's part of our security software. As long as you downloaded the installer from this website then it is safe.

Norton also finds the file malicious and when I restore it it won't open saying I'm runnig the wrong windows version (I run 64bit, file seems to be 32bit only)

We submit these to the anti-virus providers, but there is little else we can do on our end - this file is not a false positive.

As far as I know a false positive occurs when the anti-virus program mistakenly flags an innocent file as being infected. That's what is happening, when I install PT4.
I hope the anti-virus providers will fix this, but as long PT4 works fine it's not the end of the world (which effectly already has started where I live )
