Error message on startup

I get a message saying

A monitor program has been found running in your system.
Please unload it from memory and restart your program



What do this mean ?

What do I need to do ?

That means there is some program running which monitors internal memory at a very deep level and we will not start with these programs running. The ones I'm aware of tend to need a reboot to clear out of memory completely.

Every specific piece of software I've heard mentioned that causes this is listed in this thread by one user or another.

Brief excitement as I was able to download the latest update.

But I still cant open PT3 despite closing down all anti-virus programs I have running.

Please advise.

You're not using anything from Sys Internals? What other software have you installed since you were last able to use PT3?

I have nothing calle Sys Internals in my descriptions on my task manager.

I use similar anti virus software to Vanetgame uses on the thread you linked which I've tried to close down

Do you know if Vanetgame solved his issue ?

If it loads on startup you'll need to not just shut it down but have it not start on startup then reboot. Anything that triggers this warning hooks in deeply and can't be unloaded that easily.

And I can now load up PT3


I'd like to re-install it - what do you recommend i do ?

Contact their support to ask how to totally unload it for some time. We will not run with these kinds of software installed as they could be used to crack PokerTracker.
