I open the hud profile editor and select which profile I wish to make changes to.
in this case I wish to add a group and change the existing groups name.
I change the group name in the name input box and then click apply
I click ADD group and change the name to table stats
I click on the "+" and add the statistics form the drop down menu
after adjusting the Item properties as needed I click apply and they change in the review box to reflect the made changes.
I again click apply and then OK
I close the window and reopen PT4
I open a game and the now group does not appear.
I open the HUD profile editor and the changes have not been saved.
this has been occurring since I crashed the computer and fixed it by running a repair install and also repairing postgresql by deleting it 8.3 and reinstalling postgresql 9.0
soo please describe what I might do to allow changes made to the HUD profile editor
PS changes made prior to the crash still exist.

If you open the Hud Editor and select your profile and make a simple change to it then switch to another profile (save when it asks if you want to) and back to your profile, do you see that change saved?
If you restart the editor window do you still see the change?

If you click Apply then switch a profile, do the changes stick then?

Are you running PT4 as Administrator via right click -> Run as Administrator? If not, please try that and let me know if it helps.

That definitely should save. Please restart PT4 using the logging enabled link on your Start Menu, reproduce this problem and then report it via our
support system with the log file - that will help us figure out what is going on here and get it fixed for you. You can find that file by clicking File --> Show User Data Folder in the main PT4 window - the file we need is the text file called PokerTracker4 that is in that folder.
