Does PT2 record game_number as signed or unsigned?

Hi,

I am digging into the PT2 dataset a bit and was wondering whether PokerTracker records game_number as signed or unsigned (or whether it uses 32 or 64 bits)?

Thanks

It's signed. For most sites, PT2 doesn't even use the game_number field it stores the actual game number in the ub_game_number field which is a string.

Thanks, I appreciate your response.

In looking into your database (I am a professor trying to use pokertracker data to get insight into behavior), we found a lot of duplicate game_numbers coming up. Is the reason that ub_game_number is the main key to the game database?

It's not the main key, game_id is the main key to that table and the only way there could be duplicate game_numbers is if the hands are from different sites because there is a unique index on game_number and site_id. ub_game_number was used because the game_number field became too small to store the game numbers that some of the sites ended up having.
