888 poker & WSOP poker in NJ

Postby GhostEagle » Tue Mar 11, 2014 5:26 am

Am I doing something wrong or am I just clueless? Could be both actually :D . I can't seem to import hands from 888 or WSOP in NJ. Is there something special I should be doing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PokerTracker 4 supports Borgata Poker and partypoker in New Jersey.

We do not have plans to support 888 or WSOP at this time. We suggest you move your play to Borgata Poker or partypoker if you wish to use PokerTracker in New Jersey. We will continue to evaluate new rooms and opportunities as they present themselves.

Is there any particular reason for this? Is it due to site requesting this or lack of player numbers to make support worthwhile?

That is the message I've been told to use from the management -- I know they've been in talks with the poker rooms in question, and that was the end result. I'm not privy to the exact details (and if I were I probably couldn't share them), but barring them changing their ToS, I suspect this is the way it will stay for the time being.

Assuming that you have restarted PT4 any time in the last week or so (you shouldn't leave it running for days on end really - it can affect performance) then it will have downloaded the files needed to work at 888 in NJ.
You can configure it by following this guide, although I believe that the hand history path should be detected automatically. If you weren't previously playing at 888 you will need to turn on the 'get hands from site while playing' option for 888 though.
