merge.cfg err

Pokertracker stopped working for me all of a sudden today. Whenever I run the importer I get "merge.cfg err" I attached an image for reference. If I click ok another one just pops up with the month changed to OCT and then it just goes back and forth from APR to OCT whenever I click ok.

Also, I;m not exactly sure what it said because I was playing and just closed it, but there was a popup that said there was something wrong with my database.

I thought I may have just needed to install an update, so I downloaded/installed the latest version, but no luck..

Any idea on how to fix this problem?

Please attach one of the merge files you are trying to import to a support ticket and we will investigate further what could be the cause of this error.

This is really driving me insane now. (Probably because I've been losing and I want to check out some things but I can't lol)

I've tried everything to get it working, but that same error comes up every time.

I downgraded from the beta version 3.15.5 to 3.12, but that did nothing. I checked the merge.cfg file as well at that point just to make sure it was updated correctly and it was. (It has the two lines about the dates, but I still get the error)

I uninstalled/installed postgreSQL even though I had no clue if that would do anything. It didn't.

I can't take it anymore lol. I'm usually pretty good with troubleshooting things, but I just can't figure this one out.

I did find one other person who was having this same issue, but the issue seemed to go unresolved, or he figured it out without updating.

And this is what WhiteRider said in that thread,

The underlying error is that PT3 isn't able to connect to the database, so let's sort that out first (I don't think the Merge.cfg message will be critical).
If you start the PostgreSQL server via Applications > PostgreSQL do you get any errors?
Are you able to view stats in the main application reports?
Are you able to create a new database in Database > Database Management?

To answer those questions:

I do get an error when starting the server - screen shot attached.

I am able to view stats
and I am able to create a new database.

Not sure if this helps at all, but I've been getting more frustrated with this and I have very little patience to begin with :mrgreen:

Let me know if you have any more ideas.

If you're able to view stats, PostgreSQL is running properly.

What is your ticket number? Have you not yet had a response?

I'm having the same problem as well. Is there any solution?

Click File --> Setup Wizard. Run through the setup wizard and process any and all hand history files you have in your hand history folders and that may resolve this error (that was the case for the OP).
